ICONOstalla Misericordia International is an organisation dedicated to the study of medieval choir stalls, misericords, woodcarving and related iconography. Since 1992, ICONOstalla has brought together researchers, heritage professionals, wood conservationists and enthusiasts with a shared interest in the visual, material, religious and social cultures of the Middle Ages.

Through its international network, biennial conferences, newsletters and research resources, ICONOstalla encourages the study and documentation of choir stalls and misericords across Europe and beyond.
